Which substances should be avoided on parquet and wood floors?

Monday April 14th, 2014

Parquet is a difficult floor to look after, and needs a lot of care and patience.  Exposure to light or damp can alter the colour or cause swelling; it is also sensitive to various substances which could damage or stain it.  Therefore, no to foam-causing products or anything containing alcohol or ammonia. Also to be avoided are substances used in the kitchen, such as oil, wine and milk. For gentle cleaning and a perfect finish, it is advisable to use Scala parquet and marble, which contains natural soap.
